I’m Rachel. I’m a mama to four living in North Wales, and I’m a workaholic.
I used to be a teacher but then the kids came along, and well, that put a stop to that. I wanted to be at home with my kids, to be able to take them to school, pick them up, go to their assemblies and sports days.**
What sort of boss gives you time off to do that?
Freelancing was the way forward. I could be my own boss, choose my own hours and be there for my kids while saving my own sanity and earning a few quid.
Before I started freelancing, I had been blogging for four years at Coffee, Cake, Kids, and earning some pretty decent money from it, but I needed to do more. I am always looking for the next challenge, the next side hustle. I taught myself basic coding, website design, graphic design skills, marketing, search engine optimization, photography, and social media management, amongst many other things. From that, I’ve managed to build a successful freelance career, writing content for other websites and publications.
Now it is time to share a little bit of what I’ve learned with you.
**I lied. I don’t ever want to go to sports days. I hate sports days.
